NDR-UK is a registered charity and any sponsorship will in no way influence the content of any patient information. To provide useful guidance, NDR-UK may use product-specific examples of foods, drinks and related information in our resources.  These details are provided without commercial bias or financial gain by NDR-UK.  Examples should be viewed as information only and not endorsement or recommendation.

All sponsorship will be clearly identified on the individual piece of information. No company or product will be given preferential presentation based on sponsorship.

Information Production Policy - Summary

NDR-UK has a robust review and production policy which sets out to ensure that:

  • NDR-UK patient information is consistently developed and produced to the highest standards, in a well presented style that is easy to understand.

  • NDR-UK information will contain accurate content reflecting current evidence and best-practice.

  • NDR-UK continues to meet NHS England Information Standard requirements.

  • NDR-UK follows a systematic process for developing, reviewing and producing NDR-UK patient information.

The policy is intended to:

  • Raise and maintain the standard of information produced by NDR-UK for patients, carers and others using it.

  • Define information, describing what it is and what it is not.

  • Identify those involved in producing and/or approving information for publication.

  • Provide a framework for the development of new information and the review and monitoring of existing information.

  • Raise awareness of the process for developing, reviewing and monitoring NDR-UK information.
