Comments from the chair of Dietitians in Obesity Management (DOMUK) (2010)

Before we started working collaboratively with SNDRi we were actually making a loss on our resources. We feel passionately about giving our membership access to the highest quality resources. SNDRi, with their robust, credible processes, have helped make that happen and now we are making a profit. I’d highly recommend working with SNDRi, they have certainly turned things around for us.

NDR-UK has been one of the most positive changes I have seen

Last Updated (Tuesday, 30 November 1999 00:00)

I have been a dietitian in England for 14 years and have always believed that diet resources should be produced at a national level to ensure evidence based information while preventing inconsistent advice. Too much time has been wasted debating minor details of diet sheets at department meetings. We've all been there!

I think the growth and recognition of NDR-UK has been one of the most positive changes I have seen in my time as a dietitian and wish you luck in moving things forward through the final changes where all the countries within the UK will be in a position to 'sing off the same hymn sheet' at an affordable price.

Working with SNDRi is a pleasure

Last Updated (Tuesday, 30 November 1999 00:00)

Working with SNDRi is a pleasure. The SNDRi team appreciates that committee members are working for their specialist group in addition to their busy roles in weight management, and they make everything as easy and streamlined as possible.  The communication and support that they offer both me as the resources co-ordinator, and the committee, is second to none

Weight Loss You Can See

The booklet shows you how many calories there are for such a small amount - it is a real eye opener and the photos are a much easier way to check your portions than weighing out foods.  It is the first plan I have been able to stick to for a long time, with results that I am really pleased with.  Thank you.

Your new website is great.  It's easy to navigate around and packed with useful information in addition to the diet sheets.  Very useful for our students too.

Their resources are excellent dietetic tools

Last Updated (Tuesday, 06 September 2011 09:28)

As with lots of Dietetic Departments across the UK cuts have been made in the Salford area.  I had to rethink how I could continue to deliver our dietetic service effectively and efficiently.  An area I decided to re-design was the development and publication of patient dietary information. This activity was cost intensive, especially from a human resource perspective, and we found it difficult as a department to keep on top of the quality processes and procedures. NDR-UK provided the answer as I decided to use only outsourced information to give to patients. Their resources are excellent dietetic tools, developed using a robust production system, providing quality assured diet and nutrition information and are available as and when I need them. One year on and dietitians can spend more time in consultation with patients, our referral capacity has increased, our waiting lists are down and I have made significant cost savings!  Patients like the way the information is presented, find it easy to follow and are engaging more effectively with advice

I just wanted to say thank you for the certificate and the copy of the SNDRi gluten-free resource which I have just received.  The certificate is great for CPD and the final resource looks great! It was a pleasure working with you all and to be involved in the development of the resource.  I look forward to working with you again in the future.

Weight Loss You Can See

The Weight Loss You Can See’ leaflet was provided to the participants of the B.A.L.A.N.C.E. Renal & Transplant Weight Management Group. It covered all the information we wanted to convey to our participants in one, easy to use leaflet. The participants found the food and portion size photos particularly useful in helping them to implement their dietary changes and energy prescription at home.  This subsequently assisted with an average weight loss of 4.3kgs per participant throughout our 8 week programme.  We will continue to use this colourful and detailed resource in our B.A.L.A.N.C.E. groups to follow.

The support and facilitation that SNDRi deliver is second to none

Last Updated (Tuesday, 30 November 1999 00:00)

DOMUK continue to work in partnership with SNDRi for resource development and management, which they feel has proved to be a very effective collaboration. At the moment SNDRi mange the adult weight management pack, which consists of 13 resources to support practioners in consultations and their patients on their weight loss journeys. Sales continue to maintain their position, bringing in revenue to support the work of this specialist group.

“The support and facilitation that SNDRi deliver is second to none. The team is professional, responsive and very well organised. Their processes for resource development is robust, with anything they produce going through extensive evaluation – this is reassuring and helps to ensure that our resources are at the highest standard for the health professionals who use them. The revenues from the resources help to support the work of the committee to deliver services to our membership. I would certainly recommend SNDRi to anyone”.
