- To ensure optimal growth and development by encouraging and promoting self-management of diabetes.
- To support the patient/client and their carers to adopt dietary practice to help avoid long-term diabetes complications.
The Target Group will:
- Understand that dietary choices and food are important in managing diabetes and long-term health.
- Understand what foods contain CHO.
- Understand how CHO affects blood glucose levels
- Know how to identify foods that contain CHO
