The range aims to challenge eating disorder cognitions and change behaviour by agreeing and applying management techniques to achieve nutritional adequacy and prevent/counteract comorbidities through a balanced diet.

The resources work to support people, manage risks and behaviour relating to psychological causes and consequences of disordered eating including social isolation, depression, low mood, self-esteem and body image.

The Target Group will:

  • Recognise their disordered eating behaviours
  • Understand what a balanced diet is and why it is important for health including the key nutrients are and their impact on health (e.g. growth, anaemia, bone health etc)
  • Understand the risks of their disordered eating to their physical and mental health and overall well-being
  • Understand and be able to apply coping strategies and management techniques to overcome their disordered eating and achieve normalised eating and nutritional adequacy.
