Carbohydrate and Blood Glucose (adult range)
A simple guide to help people identify carbohydrate in food and drink, and understand the relationship between carbohydrate intake and blood glucose.
Endorsed by the British Dietetic Association.
Advice requires detailed explanation from a Dietitian or other specialist Health Professional with appropriate nutritional knowledge, to enable correct understanding and implementation.
To support people identify which foods contain carbohydrate to help them self-manage their diabetes.
The target group will:
- know that carbohydrate comes from a variety of sources and understand which foods contain CHO
- know that carbohydrate affects blood glucose.
