This is a new project and continuation of our successful partnership with the Scottish GI Dietitians' Network.
Building on the popular Crohn's range of resources, we have adapted content to support adults living with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) to manage symptoms, limit complications and maintain remission through diet, if possible.
By using the resource, the target group (aged 16+) will understand:
- What UC is, its symptoms and complication/risks
- The role that healthy diet and lifestyle has in achieving and managing remission for long term health and QoL
- The types of food that are more easily tolerated during a flare-up and those that are best avoided.
- Where/how to get support.
Thank you to everyone who responded to our reviews. Final updates and checks are now being made prior to our moving to the final stages of our development process to get the content formally typeset through graphic design.
