A strategy for the future

NDR-UK is a not for profit, charity and social enterprise underpinned by a robust development process, evidence and best practice, efficiency and sustainability.  These values and principles have been at the heart of all we have done in the ten years since being established. The team and our activities have grown through our work with a range of brilliant specialists in all aspects of our governance, projects and service delivery.

As we start to develop our next three-year strategy, we are acutely aware of how quickly we can and must adapt to the changing environment, needs and expectations of the people we work with and for - our customers, supporters and partners. It must focus on support and impact for service delivery through the UK.  Using a theory of change model, we aim to develop a strategy and workplan that will to overcome misinformation and common misunderstandings regarding dietary advice.  We want to empower clinicians and services improve their patients' health and well-being.  To do this, we must understand and build routes to integrate with evolving models/structures of care and support e.g. self-directed management, primary care networks and digital pathways.

The team want to identify activities, outputs and the impact these should have to achieve:

  • Easy access to diet and lifestyle guidance that is responsive to current health challenges
  • Evidence-based information that debunks myths, misunderstanding and miscommunication
  • Sustainably enhanced delivery of health services with clinicians focussed on patient care

The team want to learn, discuss and understand the needs of our stakeholders, customers, people and communities they serve. This will inform the aims, objectives and plans to deliver outcomes that meet a new vision for NDR-UK.  Please look out for messages over the coming weeks as we aim to set up meetings to consult on our plans - if you would like to contribute, please get in touch with us directly via info@ndr-uk.org.
