Eating Better, Feeling Better - new recipes

The fully revised resource (ref: 9310, published in September 2022), includes some great new recipes, including the Fruit and Nut Shake below, for increasing energy and nutrients.  With a variety of new flavours and types to suit different dietary needs and personal preferences, each recipe provides energy and protein information to help people get the nourishment they need.

FRUIT AND NUT SHAKE
(390kcal, 8g protein)

150g prepared fruit such as strawberries
and banana
150ml (¼ pint) fruit juice
25g ground almonds
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Pinch of ground cinnamon or grated nutmeg (optional)


1. Blend all ingredients together using a hand blender or liquidiser until smooth.
2. Best served cold.
