We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our Board of Directors/Trustees.

This is a great opportunity to demonstrate and develop skills and experience in strategic planning, business management, knowledge and influence across healthcare disciplines. 

NDR-UK develops and disseminates a range of diet and lifestyle patient education resources to enable self-management and improve health and well-being.  The Board currently has seven Trustees who are responsible for the charity’s strategic direction and management.  The vacancy arises as our existing SLT Trustee is stepping down after 6 years of valuable service.  

We wish to recruit an SLT who will bring:

• Knowledge of current health policies and practices
• Specialist knowledge of the role of SLTs in managing care through multidisciplinary teams 
• Professional networks and the ability to raise awareness of quality care across professional disciplines
• Experience of strategy development, finance, personnel and/or marketing through business and governance

The selection process will require formal application through CV and covering letter, followed by formal discussion/interview with CEO and Chair of Board, prior to recommendation to the Board for appointment/approval. Appointment will be from September 2022 for a minimum of 3 years. Board Meetings are held quarterly (currently via video conference). Position is voluntary (unpaid) except for any valid expenses (e.g. travel).
