Launch of 'Healthy Mouth' Range

Published: 18.04.17

We are pleased to announce the publication of new, simple, pictorial patient information to improve understanding of the importance of oral health (a healthy mouth) and how to achieve it.

The range is designed for people at risk of poor oral health with learning disabilities and/or cognitive or related communication difficulties, e.g. long-term feeding problems, environmental/social/behavioural/sensory issues and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

The range of three resources uses Boardmaker ® symbols, is based on information originally developed by NHS Lothian Learning Disability Service and is endorsed by the British Dietetic Association.
