NOURISHing Recipes

We're sharing some of our favourite recipes from recipe book Nourish as part of Nutrition and Hydration Week 2022.

Nourish provides a range of food and drink recipes to encourage and support a nourishing diet for those suffering from weight loss and/or poor appetite, and are at risk of malnutrition. It was developed by Kathryn Duff and Shelley Hindes from the Northern Health and Social Care Trust Prescribing Support Team. 

It includes:

  • main meals
  • light meals
  • snacks
  • shakes
  • desserts.

Helpful Hint: Make a batch in advance then store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for 3 months. Defrost in the fridge overnight and heat them up in the microwave when you are ready to eat.

  

Helpful Hint: Choose milkshake powders with added vitamins and minerals.
