Nutrition and Diet Resources UK (NDR-UK) is the UK’s practitioner-led nutrition and diet resource provider. We are taking forward the work of the Scottish Nutrition and Diet Resources Initiative (SNDRí) from 1 May 2011.
SNDRí was set up by dietitians in March 2001 an extension of the Scottish Diet Sheet Initiative. With funding from the Scottish Executive, it was part of their strategy to improve Scotland's health, published in the 1996 Scottish Diet Action Plan. In 2010, the initiative recevied part funding from the Scottish Government and Welsh Assembly Government, and produced over 200 nutrition and diet resources available to customers throughout the UK.
Nutrition and diet resources are essential educational tools for health professionals. NDR-UK aims to become the recognised provider of high quality nutrition and diet resources.
Patients have a right to access quality information (NHS Constitution 2010; Patients’ Bill of Rights, NHS Scotland 2010).
Develop and produce over 300 nutrition and diet resources covering around 40 broad topic areas.
