To support behaviour change for physical health, emotional wellbeing and positive eating behaviours.

To increase children, young people and their family’s awareness of weight stigma and support them to manage this within the family system. The resource will help support positive communication and increased awareness.

The TG will:

  • recognize words and phrases to use and avoid when discussing food and weight.
  • understand the importance of positive discussions about weight and the potential impact that stigmatising language can have.
  • understand and be able to use positive language to support their child to talk about their weight, build self-esteem and motivate positive behaviour change.
