  • To inform TG that enteral nutrition (EN) is a possible treatment option, and to provide information of the risks and benefits

  • To manage symptoms, particularly diarrhoea

  • TG will be able to define enteral nutrition and understand its:

    i) Benefits and side-effects 

    ii) Different delivey routes and types

  • TG will understand how long they will follow an EN diet for

  • TG will be aware of what foods/drinks they are allowed

  • TG will understand the steps they will follow when starting and moving on from EN, and how these may be adapted to suit their condition management / treatment plan (e.g. delayed start, use at home, use in hospital)

  • TG will know who to contact for queries relating to managing and/or changing EN and reintroduction of food/drinks.
