To support and encourage blood glucose management during active play and physical actively in children with type 1 diabetes.

The target group will understand:

  • that children with type 1 diabetes can participate in active play in sport
  • public health guidance for activity in children
  • that food and insulin may need to be adjusted and blood glucose monitored to avoid high or low blood glucose
  • the importance of checking and responding to ketone readings (guidance must be provided by diabetes team on ketone levels).
