The Target Group will:

  • Know what gestational diabetes is
  • Be able to identify carbohydrates and monitor intake appropriately to manage blood glucose control.
  • Understand how to make choices for a healthy diet through regular meals and snacks.
  • Understand how to safely include physical activity into their daily routine.
  • Know that they are at an increased risk of developing Type 2 DM and what action to take to minimise this risk following pregnancy.
