The resource aims to support improved symptom control and enhance long-term management and quality of life.

The Target Group (TG) will:

  • understand what IBS is
  • understand that symptoms may be aggravated by diet, lifestyle and/or other factors including stress
    • the TG should aim to be active
    • The TG should aim to manage/minimise stress and/or promote relaxation 
  • know to have regular, balanced meals based on healthy eating principles of the Eatwell Guide
  • understand that eating a variety of foods aids optimal nutrition
  • understand that over-restriction of food or food groups should be avoided
  • understand how to modify their fibre intake based on their symptoms via low/high fibre suggestions
